Won’t God Do It: Curtis Thompson

In the latest episode of Won’t God Do It, I speak with Leadership Coach and Consultant Curtis Thompson. Curtis is first and foremost a passionate follower of Christ who believes that the Word of God holds all of the solutions to the problems of the world. He also knows that we are all here for the purpose of serving others.

Curtis was born in, what was then called “South Central LA” where gang affiliation was common for his peers group. He was never in a gang and credits his musical ability for keeping him from succumbing to environmental pressures to join one.

He retired from a 35 year career in law enforcement in which he reached the position of Captain and led several divisions both for the Los Angeles Airport Police and Los Angeles Port Police. He has his undergraduate degree is in Applied Business Management / Organizational Development and he has his Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership, both from Azusa Pacific University.

Curtis is married and he and his wife have two adult daughters. He serves on the Worship team at his church and currently serves on the church’s Board of Trustees.

He and his wife also perform and record music as the group known as Vancurt, which can be found on their website, on Instagram at @vancurtmusic, on Facebook, and on Spotify & Apple Music.
